From something as simple as single grain of sand—an irritating, inconvenient interruption—comes the creation of a shimmering pearl. Just as a single, punctuating moment can change the course of one's life.  This is what happened to business owner of The Pearl Bar & Grill, Blake Collins. The Pearl is a product of a bartender and a leap of faith. For Blake Collins,  the "interruption" that branded him as The Bad Skydiver led him to opening his own scratch kitchen and craft cocktail bar in 2019 in historic Downtown Ellensburg, with the mentality that life is too short not to enjoy good food and libation.  Collins also wanted to continue the legacy and tradition started by Doris Morgan, owner of the previous Starlight Lounge. Looking to bring a fresh perspective on the dining experience in our community, Collins intentionally recruited significant staff members, including the talented Lacy Bender as the Executive Chef, and has curated a menu of Signature Cocktails that evoke conversation and torch holders all their own.
